I wrote this song after a visit to this beautiful seaside town on the Southwest coast of Ireland. It is the site of a great battle against the English. It is now a thriving town with many 5 star restaurants.
Kinsale, Kinsale, your Gaelic pride still flows,
And it's filling up your sails, like the Kerry wind that blows,
Kinsale, Kinsale, the high poets haven't gone,
And the spirit of the chieftains lives on.
